Addressing to the ‘Unity of Ummah Conference’ in Islamabad, speakers stated that Unity of Muslim Ummah would guarantee survival and stability in Islamic World.
Challenges of Muslim world could be settled with unity of Islamic countries. The speakers also welcomed inclusion of Saudi Arabia in CPEC adding that any force in the world cannot destabilise mutual harmony and brotherly relations of Pakistan and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The conference also resolved to lay any sacrifice for defense, security and stability of Harmain Al-Sharifain.
Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council presided over the conference. Key note speakers addressing the conference included, Deputy Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Habib Ullah Bukhari, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadrim State Minister for Interior Sheharyar Afrdid, Director General Islamic World League Dr. Abda Ateen, President Islamic University, Islamabad Dr. Ahmed Yousaf Al-Dervesh, General (R) Amjad Shohaib, Maulana Abdul Hameed Watto, Maulana Abdul Hameed Sabri, Maulana Tahir Aqeel Awan, Allama Tahir ul Hassan, Maulana Ilyas Muslim, Allama Zahid Qasmi and Maulana Qasim Qasmi.
The speakers underlined that sectarianism is very dangerous and alarming for stability of Muslim world. Mecca and Medina are centers of Muslim unity and brotherhood. Message of Harman Al-Sharifan is for unity and stability of Muslim Ummah. Enemies of Islam and Muslims are coining different tactics to astray Muslim youth through extremism and terrorism but Muslim Ummah should get united to defeat all these nuisance elements.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noor-ul-Qadri addressing the conference stated that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistan in every thick and thin and both Pakistan and Saudi Arbia will steer out entire Muslim Ummah from prevailing phase of challenges and hardships. He also lauded service of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for ensuring best arrangements for plgrims of Hajj and Umrah. To annihilate menace of sectarianism, services of Ulemas and Mashaykh will be employed in effective and cohesive way.
State Minister for Interior Sheharyar Afridi addressing the conference stated that believing in oneness of God, finality of Prophethood and security and defense of Harman Al-Sharifan are part of faith and belief for every Muslim adding that any negligence cannot be tolerated on this issue. He also announced that protection of seminaries and mosques will be ensured adding that any bid to make anarchy on grounds of sectarianism in the country will be dealt strictly and foiled out. He also announced that the ruling government will fully support with Ulemas and Mashaykh on all the Shariah related issues adding that guidance will be taken from Ulemas and Mashaykh on all concerning issues.
Deputy Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Habib Ullah Bukhari addressing the conference stated that unity of Muslm Ummah is ultimate panacea to resolve confronting challenges of Islamic world. He also announced that government of Saudi Arabia has always played its vital role to make harmony among Muslim countries adding that mutual relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are exemplary and alike body and soul.
Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council addressing the conference stated that elements responsible for making attacks on Medina and pilgrims are not friends of Muslims adding that it is mandatory for leadership of Islamic world to contain Houthi rebel tribes and their supporters.
Lauding the inclusion of Saudi Arabia in CPEC, Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi stated that participation of Saudi Arabia in CPEC will be very fruitful for Pakistan and boost bilateral brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
He also announced that Ulema and Mashaykh of Pakistan will support ruling government is all positive Sharia issues. He also announced that Pakistan Ulema Council will not be left Ulemas and Mashaykh of Pakistan in lurch and protected the seminaries.
The Conference also adopted a resolution and thanked King of Saudi Arabia Shah Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Amir Muhammad bin Salmanfor ensuring best arrangements for pilgrims of Hajj and Umrah.
The conference also adopted another resolution by urging the government to strengthen economic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and also welcomed participation of Saudi Arabia in CPEC.
