N-League extends another olive branch to PPP

A delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) visited the Pakistan Peoples Party leadership in Islamabad on Sunday to discuss ways to strengthen the joint opposition against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.

Media reports suggest that the two parties are likely to have a round of meetings in the coming days to devise a roadmap for the purpose. PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif is expected to arrive in the federal capital on Monday (today) to lead his party’s delegation.

On Sunday, PML-N delegation comprising Raja Zafarul Haq, Senator Chaudhry Tanveer, Tariq Fazl Chaudhry and Anjum Aqeel visited PPP secretary general Nayyar Bukhari at his residence to give party quaid Nawaz Sharif’s message for PPP’s senior leadership.

According to reports, the PML-N has offered to field joint opposition candidates in the forthcoming by-elections across the country.
