Govt truly wants to empower citizens, says Imran Khan

LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday said that the most important agenda of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government is to delegate power to the local government.

Prime Minister was chairing a meeting regarding a new local bodies system, drafted by federal government.

Imran Khan said that government truly wants to empower the citizens.

According to the sources a new local government structure is expected to be apprived after the consultative meeting.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman and senior party leader attend the meeting.

PM Imran Khan also met Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Local Government Minister Aleem khan.

Aleem Khan informed prime minister on the progress of 100-day plan during his visit to Lahore.
