Hassan, Ashgar, Rashid fined 15 percent for breaching ICC code of conduct

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has fined Pakistan pacer Hassan Ali, Afghanistan’s skipper Asghar Afghan and spinner Rashid Khan for violating its code of conduct in separate incidents.

The ICC has fined Hassan, Asghar and Rashid 15 percent of their match fees. The three cricketers have also received one demerit point for violating Level 1 of the ICC code of conduct during their math at Abu Dhabi in Asia Cup 2018.

Hassan and Asghar together were found guilty of violating Article 2.11 of the ICC code of conduct, which relates to “conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game.”

Rashid was found guilty of breaching Article 2.1.7 which states, “Using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batsman upon his dismissal during an international match.”

Hassan was found guilty of when he threatened t throw the ball at Hashmatullah Shahidi after fielding off his on bowling.

Asghar Afghan was guilty off brushing his shoulder with the bowler as he passed the bowler for a run.

Rashid was fined for pointing a finger and gesturing toward Asif Ali after taking his wicket in 47th over of the match.

Earlier, Pakistan beat Afghanistan in a nail-biting encounter in Asia Cup 2018 Super 4 phase match by 3 wickets.
