SDO among two other family members shot dead over old enmity in Nawabshah

A sub-divisional officer (SDO) of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) was shot dead among two other members of his family while a child sustained critical injuries on last Saturday when unidentified assailants opened fire on them allegedly over an old enmity in Nawabshah city of Shaheed Benazir Abad district.

Reportedly, SDO Karim Bux Dahri, his brother Rasool Bux Dahri and his nephew Abdul Ghafor Dahri were on their way to the Pir Guarani graveyard for offering prayers when armed men opened fire on them.

Resultantly, they died on the spot whereas a six-year-old child Khanzadi received severe bullet injuries.

Meanwhile, police shifted deceased’s bodies and the injured girl to the Nawabshah Hospital for autopsy and medical attention, respectively.

Police suspect that the deceased’s family had a rivalry with another group of Dahri community while further investigation is underway.

Youth dies after falling from train near Pano Aqil

A commuter was killed when he fell off a train on last Saturday near Pano Akil tehsil of Sukkur district.

According to Pano Akil railway police, a youth identified as Dildar Machi, a resident of Machi village of Jacobabad district, fell from a Karachi-bound train and died on the spot.

Meanwhile, his body was shifted to the Pano Akil Hospital for medical attention.

Later, his body was shifted to his native village.
