RIYADH: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday called on Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz to discuss the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

Foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umer, Information Minister Fawad Hussain, Advisor for Trade Abdul Razzaq Daud and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Hashim bin Siddique were also present on the occasion.

A guard of honour was also given to PM Imran Khan at the palace of Saudi King.

Earlier, during his two-day official tour to Saudi Arabia, Imran Khan met with the Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Yousef Al-Othaimeen.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan and his cabinet members traveled in a VVIP plane Tuesday for their visit to Saudi Arabia, crushing the austerity claims Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf made earlier.

After coming to power, the PTI government had announced to adopt a more austere attitude towards public funds and decided Khan will not use special planes for foreign tours. Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had also announced Khan had surrendered his entitlement to first-class travel tickets for international tours. But in practice, PTI is not living up to its claims.
