A man was shot dead on Tuesday allegedly by his uncle over a land dispute near Tajal town of Nara taluka in Khairpur.

Reportedly, the Sorah police officer Ghulam Hussain Saheto opened fire on his nephew 40-year-old Aijaz Ali Saheto in Gudhaho Khan Saheto village, and managed to flee from the spot.

Meanwhile, police shifted the deceased’s body to the Choundiko Hospital for autopsy and started further investigation into the incident.

Several customers of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) on Tuesday expressed dissatisfaction over frequent outages disrupting internet and telephone services for the last eight days in many areas of Khairpur.

Reportedly, the cause of severed telephone and communication lines remained ‘unknown’ while several customers had lodged many complaints with the PTCL authorities but services could not be restored. They appealed to the concerned authorities to resolve the matter on the priority basis.
