A fight broke out during a match between St Asaph and Northop at Elwy Grove Park in the North Wales Cricket League on Saturday.

The incident started when St Asaph’s opening batsman Matt Ryan edged a ball to the wicket-keeper but he did not walk back to the pavilion which angered the fielder.

Harsh words were exchanged between the cricketers which led to a fight. However, Ryan was given out by the umpires after scoring 36.

The crowd was shocked as they never seen anything like this before, reports local media.

Northop won by one wicket against the hosts St Asaph in the end.
