Future of about 200 female students has been put at stake in the Government Girls Primary School in Bindi, a small village near the archaeological site of Mohenjo-daro and home of late Comrade Sobho Gianchandani, as no female teacher is imparting education in the school.

In this regard, students informed the media that male teachers have been teaching them while three female teachers including Nasim Akhtar Soomro, Shabana Pathan and Zeenat Pathan have been absconding from their government duties for the last one year but have been drawing monthly salaries.

They asserted that 200 girls were being deprived of their right to education, risking their future with illiteracy in the modern age of science and technology.

Their teacher Allah Dad Channo informed the media that 200 students were not attending their classes due to unavailability of female teachers.

He expressed profound concerns over functionality of the biometric attendance system, and accused staff operating the system of corruption and malpractices.

Meanwhile, students, their parents and villagers appealed to Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah to take notice of the issue and resolve it on the priority basis for saving future of students.
