According to details, police constables Mohsin and Majid were on patrolling duty when they stopped two young bike riders. Both the policemen searched the young men and recovered drugs from their packet of cigarettes. They threatened the boys of arresting them if they did not arrange money in compensation.
Both the young men managed to collect some money and handed it over to the police officials. Passersby noticed the commotion and began making videos of the incident, which went viral.
The police officials were given bribe worth Rs 2,200 from the boys.
“The policemen not only took the cash from the boys, but also snatched their packet of cigarettes along with the small amount of drugs,” a local said, while talking exclusively to Daily Times.
In the video, the police officials can be seen negotiating with the boys.
When contacted, a clerk at Sadiqabad Police Station, Ishtiaq after watching the video confirmed that both police officials were deployed there and were deputed on patrolling the road and its surrounding areas. Both of them did not come to the police station to hand over the confiscated items to the authorities. The issue will be to the notice of the station house officer so that action could be taken against them, Ishtiaq said.
