During the formal meeting, both the CMs agreed to implement jointly worked out strategies to eliminate terrorism from both Sindh and Balochistan.
During the meeting CM Syed Murad Ali Shah told CM Jam Kamal Khan that Karachi had been made a peaceful city through a series of intelligence-based targeted operations but some terrorists had crossed the Sindh-Balochistan border and detonated blasts in Jacobabad and Shikarpur.
He told Jam Kamal Khan that during his last tenure he had worked with the Balochistan government on the law and order situation and established check posts along the Sindh-Balochistan border. CM Murad explained that similar check posts had also been established by the Balochistan government and the situation was controlled by the mutual efforts of both the provincial governments.
Both the chief ministers then agreed that coordination between IGPs of both the provinces needed to be strengthened in order to enforce stringent checking of outlaws and settle other emerging law and order issues. The two chief ministers also discussed NFC award issues extensively and decided to work together on the issue. Another topic that came under discussion was the ongoing water crisis.
The Sindh CM said that Karachi was second home of almost all the Baloch leaders, ministers and dignitries. “Therefore, all our Baloch leaders should support us in resolution of all the pending issues in the Council of Common Interests (CCI),” he added.
The chief minister presented Ajrak and Sindhi Topi to the visiting chief minister and welcomed him by saying that Karachi was the second home of his Baloch brothers.
