SALU denies allegations levelled by teachers
The spokesperson of Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Khairpur, Ibrahim Khokhar, has refuted the allegations of the protesting teachers published in various newspapers and termed the allegations as blackmailing tactics on Thursday.
In his statement, he made it clear that the university is undergoing serious financial crisis and the administration is in contact with the Government of Sindh and Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan to resolve the issue.
However, he continued, the protesting teachers have their own axe to grind and they are exploiting the situation for personal benefits and illegal promotions. This small group is bent upon maligning the reputation of the university and in this hour of crises, their demand for leave encashment is nothing but a pressurizing tactic to achieve vested interests, he said.
The spokesperson further claimed that the university is functioning properly despite the financial crisis under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Parveen Shah and she is committed to resolving all the fair demands of the teachers as soon as the financial issues get resolved by the government.
