KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) former chairman Farooq Sattar has resigned from the party’s Rabita Committee on Thursday quoting ‘personal reasons’.

While addressing media, Sattar confirmed the development and said: “I have tendered my resignation due to personal reasons.”

The veteran MQM-P politician said the party leadership does not consult him while taking party decisions.

“There is still time for MQM-P to correct their mistakes,” he added.

According to sources, the former MQM-P chief is disgruntled over not being awarded ticket for NA-247  by-poll.

While talking to Daily Times Ali Raza Abidi said that Farooq Sattar is still the member of MQM-P as he has only resigned from the party’s Rabita Committee not as basic member.

On the other hand, Rabita Committee stated they haven’t yet received resignation of the Sattar.
