Prime Minister’s (PM) Special Assistant for Political Affairs Naeemul Haq on Tuesday revealed that the federal government would auction four surplus helicopters of the Cabinet Division.
In a twitter message, he said that the helicopters were not being used by the Cabinet Division.
The PTI leader further asserted that eight buffaloes which were kept at the PM house for former premier Nawaz Sharif’s ‘gastronomic requirements’ would be auctioned as well. “So, all potential buyers please get ready,” he said. The helicopters and buffaloes will be sold after the auction of PM’s luxury and surplus vehicles on September 17.
PM Imran Khan had announced an austerity drive after assuming his office and vowed to reduce government expenditures including operational costs.
