ISLAMABAD: Sajid Riaz, the brother of deceased Taimor Riaz has made a stunning revelation that Samiullah from the Eagle Squad had deliberately shot his brother dead at the police check point in Islamabad. Supporting his stance he said that Samiullah broke the rear glass of the vehicle by hitting it with his gun and checked if the victim was alive or dead.

Later the vehicle was pushed away at some distance from the scene. Sajid Riaz said that the police was using dilatory tactics in the investigation intentionally and no headway had been made in the investigation so far while the incident is very clear. Sajid Riaz said if the policeman Tariq is not involved in firing any bullet then we would not drag him into the case but he should not be ignored being an eyewitness. Investigation officer of the case Shaukat Thabal said that Samiullah had opened fire. Therefore, the other police personnel who were on duty cannot be made part of the investigation. However Tariq will be kept in the ambit of investigation. The investigation officer further said that the gun with which Samiullah had fired had been sent to the forensic laboratory for a report.

The matter will be resolved to a considerable extent as soon as the forensic report comes. The District Court Islamabad has extended the physical remand of Samiullah arrested in the Tamore Riaz murder case for three days. Samiullah was produced before the judicial magistrate Khalilullah. Sabzi Mandi Police requested the court for extension in the physical remand of the accused through an application.
