Police kill two dacoits

Two infamous dacoits were killed in an encounter between the police and dacoits at the Dilan Mountains near Fareedabad town in Dadu district on Monday.

According to the Dadu Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Tanvir Ahmed Tunio, a police team from CIA police station and Faridabad police station, after getting a tip, cordoned off the area around Dilan Mountains and asked the dacoits to surrender themselves before the police but they refused. He said that after an encounter, two dacoits were killed on the spot and four of their accomplices escaped the venue.

The SSP said that the two dacoits killed were identified as Mohammad Harif alias Shahzado and Abdul Fatah, both residents of Ghous Pur taluka Kandh Kot district Shikarpur.

Tunio further informed the media that one repeater gun and one pistol were recovered from the dacoits. He said that that dacoits had robbed different types of vehicles in the past and 11 cases were already registered against them for snatching vehicles at Dadu, Jamshorom Kandhkot, Jaccobabad, Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur and other districts of Sindh.
