Media strategy will help PTI take more U-turns

PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Sunday that the singular purpose of the media strategy of the federal government was to enable it to cover its tracks.

“It will help them [the PTI government] to take more U-turns and to tell more lies,” she said, adding that the strategy would be good only to cultivate a positive image of those in government charged with corruption by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The PML-N leader said the nation was eagerly waiting for the implementation of the 100-day agenda of the government. She said the PTI had claimed to transform the country’s affairs in 100 days. Most of the government’s initial measures were borrowed from her party’s 2025 vision document, she added. Aurangzeb said in contrast to the tall claims made by the PTI on taking office, the government was now headed towards a situation where it would be running the country on charity. Further, she said the change promised by Prime Minister Imran Khan appeared to be limited to activities like victimisation of political opponents
