HYDERABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Sindh Chief Syed Shah Muhammad Shah on Sunday criticised Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan for taking ‘U-turns’ and making compromises.

Reportedly, he held a press conference at the Hyderabad press club where he denounced PM Imran Khan as “puppet” who has started taking reverse gear to what he had pledged before taking oath as the PM.

He stated that Imran Khan had called Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) “terrorists” but later formed an alliance with them and included two of their members in the federal cabinet.

He said that the PM has dropped ‘the bomb of price hike’ on the general public of Pakistan by 46 percent increase on gas and Rs five per unit on power prices.

“This shows that he is not independent rather follows dictations,” he said while further criticising an increase of Rs 800 per bag of fertilizer for benefiting Jahangir Tareen, who owns major fertilizer factories.

He claimed that United States’ foreign secretary had visited Pakistan for 5 hours but the PM did not meet him alone.

Shah criticised the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for weakening the grand opposition alliance, and said that the PPP had stabbed opposition parties in back by bringing forward their own candidate for the slot of presidency, despite of early assurance of a joint candidate. Replying to a question, he said that PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has been under investigation, which put pressure on the party for taking such decisions.

Later, PML-N Sindh Chief announced to dissolve all bodies of the party in Sindh and declared formation of an organising committee consisting of 25 members including Senator Asad Junejo, Miftah Ismail, Mir Amanullah Talpur, Shah Zaman Shah, Sorath Thebo, Khealdas Kohistani, Parveen Bashir, Neelam Walgi, who would be responsible for arranging party’s election within one month.

He said that former governor Zubair would be appointed as the head of the committee while Saleem Zia would be its secretary.

Besides, advocate Nisar Chandio, Member of National Assembly (MNA) Khealdas Kohistani, Shah Zaman Shah and Raja Ghaznafar accompanied him during the press conference.
