Reportedly, notables including Kazi Allah Bachayo, Naveed Abbasi, Ali Tunio, Ayaz Kalhoro, Farman Khushk, Irfan Abbasi, Irshad Abbasi, Zulfiqar Sohu and others said that armed men broke into the home of Prof Shabir Kalhoro in Shaikh Zayed Colony, and abducted him without revealing their identity.

They said that he was a law-abiding citizen and expressed concerns over abduction of patriotic Pakistanis.

They said that incidents of enforced disappearances of Sindhi people have increased in Larkana in the recent past, and said that citizens were not even safe in their homes.

They criticised the federal government for failing to implement democratic norms in the country.
