DUBAI: Lahore Qalandars clinched an easy win against Islamabad United in the fourth fixture of the Pakistan Super League at the Dubai International Stadium here on Saturday.

Qalandars ended their innings in style at Rummas Raees hit the winning boundary on Sunil Narain’s delivery as they chased down the target of 159 set by Islamabad. Jason Roy and Umal Akmal played fine knocks of 60 not out and 35 respectively to take their team home. Qalandars raced to the 100-run mark in the 12 over as opener Jason and Akmal kept rotating the strike while hitting sensible boundaries whenever possible. Opener Brendon McCullum left for the pavilion after scoring 25 quick runs off ten balls. Earlier, Islamabad managed to put a decent 158-run total for the loss of seven wickets on the board as Misbahul Haq (61 not out), the only one to score over fifty runs in the match, tried his best to return pressure to Qalandars as wickets kept falling on the other end at regular intervals. Mohammad Sami was the last man to leave the pitch for the pavilion on the second last ball of the innings.
