ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani is adamant to implement corporate culture in the board and for that purpose, he is also willing to give up some of his powers.
According to Express News, Mani wants PCB to function error-free and wants to continue with the same team that ex-chief Najam Sethi worked with.

The new chief also wants to add a chief executive officer (CEO) to the board, and will advertise for it after relevant amendments to the PCB constitution. Moreover, for the CEO post, Mani prefers an expert in the corporate field rather than an ex-cricketer.
It was added that the PCB COO will see an increase in powers, and will continue working on the on-going projects initiated by Sethi. The chairman will have less powers and most of the policy-making and decisions will be taken by the COO, CEO and rest of the board members.
The PCB chief is also pondering to reduce the number of departmental teams on advise of Prime Minister Imran Khan, since the preference is quality not quantity, but Mani also considers that reducing teams could financially take a toll on domestic cricketers.
