12-year-old girl among five injured in Lyari cracker attack

KARACHI: Five people were injured in a cracker attack in Chakiwara area of Lyari on Saturday.

According to details, a motorcyclist hurled a hand-grenade near a school on Usman Brohi road. As a result, five people including a 12-year-old girl were injured, who were shifted to the Civil Hospital.

Three of the injured were identified as Meesa, Shahnawaz and Ahmed Bukhsh. Police said that pedestrians and shopkeepers were among the injured.

They said the aim of the attack was to spread fear in the area. A spokesman for police informed that the IG Sindh had directed the SSP South to take immediate action against the culprits.
