ISLAMABAD: Margallah police conducted a search operation in various areas and arrested eight suspects, including an Afghan national, a police spokesman said.
According to details, Islamabad Police officials, Rangers and other law enforcement agencies conducted search operation in various areas and recovered arms from the eight suspects arrested.
The nabbed suspects were shifted to the police station for further investigation. Police also recovered arm ammunition from them having no documents.
SSP operations said that purpose of this search operation is to ensure high vigilance in the city. He also appealed that the citizens remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
Meanwhile, Tarnol police nabbed 12 drug pushers identified as Nadeem, Bacha Khan, Faisal Abbas, Ishtaiq Hussain, Sabbidr Masaih, Ilyas, Boota Masaih, Nasir, Ameen, Zahid Hussain, Saeed and Maqsood. More than 1,460 grams of hashish was recovered from them. Sihala Police arrested Pervez Masih and recovered seven liter wine from him. Cases have been registered against those arrested and further investigation was underway.
