RIYADH: Former army chief General (retd) Raheel Sharif on Wednesday said that Pakistan will soon emerge as an economic power in the world.

“Pakistan will soon emerge as an economic power, and it will do so by following in the footsteps of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal,” the ex-army chief said while speaking to a ceremony in Riyadh.

He added that Pakistan is a peace-loving country and that now was the time nations across the world should set their difference aside and unite.
