Is Momo challenge the new blue whale?

New online ‘Suicide Game’ Momo Challenge’s recent victims are 12-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy who killed themselves in north west Colombian area Santander.

Both of children were playing the same game before they committed suicide, police reported.

So what is Momo Challenge?

‘Momo Challenge’, an online game which is available on various social media platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, and YouTube etc.

The game uses a creepy image on their social media account to influence and spreads fear among its victims. It mostly targets children.

Momo challenges its target to communicate with an unknown number from Japan, Mexico, and Colombia. If instructions of the game are not followed then the players are threatened with a violent images.

However, a cybercrime expert has said that the challenge is an prank which is used to steal personal information.
