Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that brining Ronaldo back at Old Trafford was never an option for him.

Ronaldo who signed for Turin in a 99m deal is struggling quite badly so far as Italian league is quite different from other leagues of Europe.

United fans who were bashing Jose for not signing Ronaldo have quietened down a bit as Ronaldo’s glow is fading every single day. He is yet to score despite having most number of shots on target for any player in any league of Europe.

In the post-match conference after 2-nil win over Burnley. Jose was asked about Ronaldo and their draw against Juventus in the Champions League.

“Cristiano was never on my table to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to Cristiano to come to us.

“It was never on the table” Jose revealed.

Jose further added that Turin’s main goal is to target Champions League as they managed to win Serie A for last seven years consecutively.

“Juventus is one of the teams in Europe that invested to win the Champions League because they don’t need to invest to win the Scudetto. They win Scudetto for six or seven years.

“The objective is clearly to win the Champions League, which they were close twice when they reached the final, so they are a top team in Europe that made one of the biggest spending – I think after Liverpool must be them.

“Fantastic players – Cristiano, Can and Bonucci. Absolutely top. But they are going to have two very difficult matches against us.” Mourinho added.

Jose is currently in hot water as he failed to live up to expectations in last first few fixtures of the league. He is living on the edge as according to reports United have already decided to replace Jose by ex-Madrid boss Zidane.
