Marcelo to join Ronaldo at Juventus?

Author: Web Desk

Almost a month and a half after former Real Madrid frontman Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Juventus, rumour has it that Marcelo might follow in the footsteps of his good friend.

Spanish paper El Confidencial reports that Marcelo could well be on his way out of Real Madrid and his possible destination could be Juventus.

The Brazilian shared the left side of the Santiago Bernabeu pitch for almost a decade, and their partnership up-front proved to be greatly fruitful for the Los Blancos.

Marcelo’s absence is apparent for Cristiano as he has failed to replicate Madrid-like performances at Juventus, and it might well be the case for Marcelo too.

There is no doubt that Marcelo misses Ronaldo, and he has said that on multiple occasions after the Portuguese’s departure. Just recently, Marcelo called Ronaldo the best player in the world and said he was gravely missed.

But he also said that despite Ronaldo’s departure, Real Madrid still has enough firepower to challenge Barcelona for La Liga and defend its UEFA Champions League crown.

Madrid does not, however, seem to miss Ronaldo as the club has won 3 out of 3 league games in a convincing manner, but they might as the season progresses.

Do you think Marcelo should join Ronaldo at Juventus?
