CM Buzdar vows to empower LG institutions

Dera Ghazi Khan Mayor, Shahid Hameed, called on the Punjab Chief Minister (CM), Sardar Usman Buzdar, at the CM Secretariat on Saturday. The mayor congratulated the CM over his election to the office and also presented a bouquet to the CM.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the local government institutions played vital role in resolving the problems of people at the lower level. He said that we would empower the local government institutions and an effective system of check and balance would be implemented. He further said that a new system of local government was the need of the hour and his government was actively working for the new local government institutions. He said that his government would take swift measures to resolve the problems of Dera Ghazi Khan District to bring it at par with the developed areas of the province.

Earlier, the CM, while meeting the cabinet members of the Punjab, stated that the revolutionary vision of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan would change the destination of the country and the nation. He said that he and his team would work day and night to accomplish the dream of Imran Khan about the development and progress of the country. He assured that his team would stand behind the PM for implementing his agenda of New Pakistan. The CM said that Punjab would become a role model in implementing the 100 days reform plan of the PM and assured that his team would give results at any cost.

Talking to the Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Uzma Kardar who called on the CM at his office, the CM said that the women should play an effective role for the development of the country. He stressed that his government would take practical measures for the protection of women.

He further said that his government would employ all the available resources for the empowerment of women and new jobs would be created especially for women living in rural areas. He said that the principles of transparency and merit would be followed to end corruption.
