Karachi: It seems that the Sindh government has finally started complying with the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan since it has removed many officers who were enjoying lucrative posts after getting multiple out-of-turn-promotions, Daily Times has learnt.
The apex court has long been directing the Sindh’s authorities but it seems that the orders were falling on deaf ears.
Chief Secretary Rizwan Memon has issued a notification in this regard canceling out-of-turn-promotions of relatives of the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders including MNAs and MPAs, according to sources.
“In pursuance of the Judgment dated 12.6.2013 passed by the Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan in Criminal Original Petition No 89/2011 & other cases and with the approval of Competent Authority i.e. Chief Minister Sindh, the out of turn promotions granted to the following doctors of health department are hereby cancelled/withdrawn”, according to a notification issued by Chief Secretary Sindh Rizwan Memon.
According to sources, the out of turn promotions of Deedar Hussain Jamali, Medical Officer BS-17 to Senior Medical Officer BS-18 has been called. He is the brother of PPP MNA from Dadu Rafique Ahmed Jamali.
The out of turn promotion of Insaf Ahmed Magsi Medical Officer BS-17 Senior Medical Officer BS-18 is also called. He is close relative of Magsi family of district Qambar Shahdadkot.
Moreover, the out of turn promotion of Abdul Fattah Bughio Medical Officer BS 17 Senior Medical Officer BS 18 has also been cancelled. He is brother of PPP MNA Nazeer Bughio. Abdul Fattah has also remained as District Health Officer in Larkana district for years.
