ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Tuesday took notice of a news item which discussed how a Sheikhupura labourer’s kidney was stolen in the federal capital.

According to sources the man had travelled from his city to Islamabad for the purpose of acquiring a job. He was taken to a local private hospital by two people, where he was offered a cup of tea that rendered him unconscious.

He was subsequently operated upon and one of his kidneys was removed.

Taking notice of the issue, the Chief Justice ordered a report from the Islamabad deputy inspector general within three days.
