PESCO arrests 79 power thieves

PESHAWAR: The surveillance teams of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) excelled its operations and arrested 79 electricity thieves at different part of Peshawar, Khyber and Mardan circles. The PECSO official handout said that around 79 power consumers including commercial and households were allegedly involved were booked by the surveillance teams in the areas including Nishterabad, Chamkani and cantonment board areas. Similarly, Khyber Circles teams during checking in Pabi sub divisions arrested 14 electricity thefts and Mardan Circle held thieves 27 in Par Hoti, Takhtbhai, Katlang subdivisions. The statement said that the ascribed teams of the PESCO will conduct operations on daily basis in order to eliminate the electricity theft from the province and allowed the use of electricity to all kind of consumers.
