We all have one aim before us and that is public service: Buzdar

LAHORE: A delegation of dignitaries from Tehsil Taunsa called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at the Chief Minister’s Office.

The delegation congratulated Punjab CM Sardar Usman Buzdar and extended him good wishes for taking over the position of the chief minister. While talking to the delegation, the CM said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is now a new hope of 22 million people of Pakistan and that he will serve the people of his province according to the vision of his leader. He vowed to work day and night to fulfill the hopes of the nation.

“A new Pakistan will be formed in any case and PM Imran Khan is the one who will lay foundation of it. To attain this goal, we have to move forward together for starting a new journey,” he added. The CM further said that we all have to work hard to make the dream of change come true.

“We all have one aim before us and that is public service,” he said, adding that we will eliminate corruption on a regular basis through good governance.

The CM said that real change will occur only if police is strong enough to tackle political pressure. He said that they are determined to work on merit as it was their first priority. He also said that we will bring real development in backward regions. He told the delegation that Imran Khan believes only in the concept of a united Pakistan and the journey of real development and prosperity will not be possible without cooperation.

Later on, Member of Provincial Assembly Nadeem Abbas Bara called on Sardar Usman Buzdar and expressed good wishes for him. Talking on the occasion, Usman Buzdar said that under the vibrant leadership of Khan, “we altogether will work to strengthen the foundation of a new Pakistan. Our priority is to raise the living standard of public and provide them with basic facilities”.

He said that we have to give relief to the people of Punjab who have played the main role for change. The CM said that public money will be used honestly and “we will promote simplicity and savings at every level by reducing public expenditure in addition to all transactions.

The CM directed that Assembly members should remain in touch with the people and should not leave any stone unturned for solving their problems. MPA Nadeem Abbas Bara while conversing on the occasion added that with the chief ministerial election of Buzdar, people of the province will witness the real interpretation of a new Pakistan and his leadership will eliminate corruption as well as promote merit in the province.

Pakistan Naval Force Station Commander Dr Sajid Mahmood Shahzad also called on Buzdar at the CM office on Sunday.

Ideas were exchanged on matters of mutual interest and professional activities of Pakistan Naval Force. The Station Commander extended his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to the newly elected CM for joining his post on behalf of Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi. Buzdar while thanking Station Commander for his best wishes said that “we pay tribute to the valour and courage of the brave sons of Pakistan Navy”. He said that services of Pakistan Navy for guarding maritime interest of Pakistan and coastal boundaries are being acknowledged all over the world. Pakistan Navy is equipped with best professional coastal strength and has full capacity to bounce back onto enemies. He said that Pakistan Navy has rendered innumerable services for defense of our country and Pakistani nation is very proud of it. The CM said that Pakistan Naval Force has selflessly helped people trapped in natural disasters especially floods, likewise their services in the field of education and health are commendable.

Buzdar also expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the fatal traffic accident at Gujar Khan and Daultala which has cost precious human lives.

He also expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of senior journalist Khalid Behzad Hashmi’s wife.

Buzdar has taken serious notice of the death of an eight-year-old girl in Pakpattan for not getting timely medical treatment.

The CM has directed Pakpattan’s deputy commissioner that the incident should be investigated from all aspects and report be presented to him within 24 hours.
