RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday extended his full support for holding Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore.
While talking about the blast on Mall Road, General Bajwa said, “Army will extend full support to all concerned for holding the event as scheduled.”
He was chairing a security meeting at Corps Headquarters, where he was briefed about Monday night’s blast.
Bajwa said that such incidents can neither lower the nation’s resolve nor can affect the country’s efforts against terrorism.
“Our gains over the years cannot be reversed,” General Bajwa added.
He appreciated efforts of intelligence agencies in tracing culprits of Monday night’s blast which have resulted into important arrests overnight including few Afghans.
