ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lifetime supremo Nawaz Sharif has given his approval to nominate ex-PM and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Yousuf Raza Gillani for presidency.

PPP Chairman Asif Ali Zardari is adamant over candidature of Aitzaz Ahsan for president but the PML-N has expressed reservations over the idea.

The PM lifetime supremo, sources said, had no objection over Yousuf Raza Gillani’s nomination and believes it is a good idea.

Earlier, PML-N rejected Aitzaz’s candidature, terming him the candidate of his party alone instead of the opposition alliance, which comprises of seven opposition parties.
