Dr Ameer Muhammad Khan Jogezai on Saturday evening refused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s offer of Balochistan governorship. In a video message, he said that he was thankful to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) for putting their faith in him.

He said that there had been no case registered against him since 2005.

Dr Jogezai’s refusal came after the PTI leadership nominated him as the new Balochistan governor. Dr Jogezai is a pediatrician by profession and has also served as the registrar in Quetta’s Bolan Medical College.
