You killed my dreams

Author: Shakeel Phullan

I do remember that special day

That appeared so bright

With a million expectations

To construct a strong relationship

We promised, to never turn back

To not break the love

That cloudy weather

You accompanied me

Held my right hand

We discussed our desires

For a brighter future,

To live happily and peacefully

Oh, I still remember your words

Your promise to never leave me alone

And to always smile at me

But time passed

A storm began from her heart

Bringing several issues

Hardships and difficulties

Couldn’t let me move anywhere

A dark night appeared full of pain

Pain of unfulfilled desires

Of hard troubles

Criticism killed me from inside

Eyes began to tear, still now

When the supporter left me alone

Alone without fulfillment of wishes

Depression made me mad

You killed my all wishes

And left me alone forever

Considering me only a dead body
