Karachi based Indonesian Community, Indonesian Students, the staff of the Indonesian Consulate General and their families attended the event with great zeal and enthusiasm. A number of Pakistani guests also attended the ceremony.
The Consul General of Republic of Indonesia Totok Prianamto, in his address, spoke about the independence struggle of Indonesia. Following his address, Indonesian youth hoisted the Indonesian flag and sang the Indonesian national anthem.
Speaking at the ceremony, Indonesian Consul General said that he would also like to take this opportunity to convey warm greetings to the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who also celebrated their Independence Day on the 14th August.
