LAHORE: Pakistan’s first polio case for the year 2017 has surfaced from Lodhran, Punjab

A four-month-old boy contracted the disease even though he had been vaccinated four times.

Despite initiating multiple anti polio campaigns regularly all over the country, Pakistan is still one of the few countries that have failed to get rid of this disease completely.
