More than 300 injured in Sehwan Sharif explosion: Hyderabad DIG

SEHWAN: Hyderabad Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) Khadim Hussain Rind stated that more than 300 people were reportedly injured in the Shrine explosion in interior Sindh.

He added that the burka covered bomber blew himself up at the main gate of the shrine

Sources confirmed the bombing took place inside the shrine and that the explosion in the crowded area resulted in maximum damage and stirred a stampede which caused chaos and panic.

The Laal Shahbaz Qalandar Shrine blast was the latest in a series of terrorist attacks in the country, he further informed that the suicide blast occurred at the main gate of the shrine by a bomber who covered himself with a Burka.

Initial reports by the bomb disposal squad stated that the explosive material weighted atleast eight kilograms and that the terrorists utilised ball bearings and nuts to do more damage.
