Independence Day celebrations at Chandka Medical College

LARKANA: The Chandka Medical College (CMC) on Tuesday organised an Independence Day event which was attended by various students and professors.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor (VC), Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU), Prof Dr. Ghulam Murtaza Pathan said, that to understand the importance of independence we will have to understand the concept of live and let live. He said that as a medical university, our responsibility should be ”to take care of the people’s health and provide better education to get best doctors for our future generations”.

Registrar Prof. Afsar Bhuuto, said that we will have to delve into the philosophy behind Pakistan’s creation to better understand our responsibilities.

In the end, students presented tableaus and the faculty

Members planted trees to mark the day. Event was attended by Prof: Rafia Baloch, Riaz Ahmed Shaikh, Samad Bhatti, Dr. Saeed Shaikh.

Independence Day gathering at municipal stadium

An Independence Day gathering was held at municipal stadium, Larkana in which various district officers participated and students of various schools participated.

Attendees hoisted Pakistan’s flag and spoke on the occasion.

Commissioner Naveed Ahmed Shaikh told students about the importance of peaceful coexistence and harmony.

Event was attended by Commissioner Naveed Ahmed Shaikh, DIGP Javed Akbar Riaz, Deputy Commissioner Syed Murtaza Ali Shah and some other officers of district administration.
