GERMANY: Bayer Leverkusen continued its upward rise thanks to a historic goal by Karim Bellarabi. The 26-year-old German international headed the first goal of the match  for manager Roger Schmidt at FC Augsburg with the 50,000 goal of the Bundesliga history.

Bellarabi came to the thrilling lead in the 23rd minute, almost 54 years after Timo Konietzka scored the first goal of the Bundesliga on 24 August in the year 1963.

Javier Chicharito Hernandez increased the lead scoring his tenth goal for the season in the 40th minute to 2-0. Dominik Kohr (60) shone again before Chicharito (65) scored again after a brilliant pass from Havertz.

A test awaits the German club as Spanish club Atletico Madrid faces them on Tuesday.

In the team of Manuel Baum, on the other hand, the turn after the second defeat successively down again. The FCA also continued its negative stats against Bayer. Even in the twelfth league match against Bayer , they could not achieve victory and lost for the eighth time despite struggling against the other team.

Leverkusen showed the better performance and proved that they were more effective.

The Ausburg  created only a few chances in front of goal before 25,010 spectators, but then it became dangerous JaCheol Koo (18 and 34), however, shot twice at Leverkusen’s goal.

Shortly before the break, Leverkusen’s captain Lars Bender had to deal with muscular injury.

Ausburg increased the pressure afterwards but never really managed to pose a greater threat to Bayer Leverkusen.
