Affected areas included Clifton, Defense, Korangi, Bahadurabad, Saddar and some pockets in Bin Qasim, Landhi and Garden.
According to KE spokesperson, the KE teams began repair work immediately. “KE teams initiated restoration work immediately and power supply was restored to most of the affected areas instantly whereas supply to rest of the affected areas was restored within few hours,” said KE spokesman, before adding that all strategic installations were restored on a priority basis.
“KE regrets the inconvenience caused to its valued customers due to unforeseen circumstances,” said the spokesman.
KE also advised the residents of the metropolis to stay away from any broken wires, electrical poles and transformers especially during rainy and windy weather.The utility also urged the citizens to refrain from using illegal means (Kundas) to abstract power.
Customers are requested to inform the power utility of any broken wires or complaints by calling on 118. Queries may also be sent via SMS to 8119 or through KE’s Social Media platforms.
