Larkana police establish Rapid Response Force

LARKANA: In a bid to take the fight to the terrorists and criminals, the newly posted SSP Larkana Umar Tufail has established Rapid Response Force (RRF) to eliminate social evils, street crimes and protection of the people of Larkana here on Saturday.

While SSP himself visited different areas of the district riding a Motor Cycle along with QRF Jawans which is constituted over 125 Police Personnel having 30 motorcycles and five police mobiles equipped with modern weapons, bulletproof vests, helmets, red colour caps, walkies talkies and other gadgets.

They will swing into action when required in order to respond any type of emergency, typically within ten minutes to avert any crime in Larkana. He said that Police responsibility is to protect property, life and honour of the citizens, facilitate the public when needed, therefore no one would be allowed to take law into their hands. Police aim is to capture street criminals and muggers who are multiplied in large numbers in affluent localities.

Each team will have two riders. RRF team will be visiting streets and lanes randomly to control street crime. It was further decided to install CCTV cameras at markets, hospitals, main bazaars and other designated places to overcome any menace. In yet another incident as many as 16 proclaimed offenders of law were apprehended by Larkana police which include Jeal Khakhrani wanted in 14 cases, Jaan Jalbani wanted in eight cases along with weapons. The SSP has directed that after Sehwan blast security of all shrines should be further tightened.
