Extortionists use WhatsApp to demand money

A trader from Old City area complained to police on Friday after receiving a threat as an audio note on WhatsApp.

Reportedly, the threat was issued by members of a gang demanding extortion money from the trader. The threat the trader received stated that the extortionists will kill him if he failed to meet their demands.

According to the police, the extortionists belong to the Faisal Pathan group of the Lyari Gang war.

The trader informed police of the whole situation and Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) also took notice of the situation.
