Lt Gen Bokhari made Bahawalpur corps commander

Lieutenant General Javed Bokhari, a three star officer of the Pakistan Army, was Friday appointed Bahawalpur corps commander, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement.

Incumbent Bahawalpur Corps Commander Lt Gen Sher Afghan was transferred and posted at GHQ as inspector general of arms.

The post of IG arms has been vacant since the transfer of Lt Gen Asim Bajwa as commander southern command.
