LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi on Friday said that he will not compromise on his dignity and honour and will step down if the next government does not need his services.
“I will only work with dignity and honour. If I feel like the new government does not want my services, I will go home without a second thought,” Sethi said while speaking to the media.
The PCB chief continued that he was not certain about his future. “If the next government wants me to continue, I will, otherwise I will step down,” he added.

He also said that he was worried about the stability and future of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). “I don’t know how other people will take this product forward.”
Speculations surrounding future of Sethi intensified after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) emerged as the single largest party in the General Elections 2018.
PTI chief Imran Khan had accused Najam Sethi of ‘rigging’ during the 2013 elections when the latter was caretaker Punjab CM.
Later, Sethi had filed a defamation case against Khan for leveling ‘baseless’ allegations.
