Imran Khan to take PM oath on Aug 18

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will take oath as Prime Minister of Pakistan on August 18, said PTI leader Faisal Javed Khan on Friday.

PTI has claimed the support of 180 MNA-elects in the National Assembly, making its way clear to form government at Centre.

Three Indian cricket legends Kapil Dev, Novjot Singh Sidhu, Sunil Gavaskar have been invited in the PM oath taking ceremony, the PTI leader confirmed.

Moreover, members of the Pakistan cricket team that won the 1992 world cup under Imran Khan’s captaincy have also been invited in the ceremony.

President Mamnoon Hussain has summoned the National Assembly’s inaugural session on August 13 in which newly elected members will take oath to their office followed by the election for the slots of speaker, deputy speaker and the leader of the house.
