Twitter pays homage to Dr Ruth Pfau on first anniversary

The first death anniversary of Dr Ruth Pfau is being observed all over Pakistan today. She was a German doctor and nun, who devoted her life to getting rid of leprosy in the country.

She passed away at 87 at a hospital in Karachi on August 10, 2017. Due to her selfless efforts, Pakistan was declared leprosy free in 1996 by World Health Organisation (WHO).

People are paying tribute to the ‘Mother Teresa of Pakistan’ all over social media. Here are some tweets to about the lady who dedicated her life to the people of Pakistan.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid tribute to the German doctor in a message and said that Dr Ruth served the humanity.
