LAHORE: The amendment in the Finance Act related to charging more taxes from wedding halls has been challenged in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday.
The petition was filed by Tariq Islam who claims that increasing taxes on wedding halls is not only unfair but will also immensely damage the business of wedding halls.
He has called for the removal of this amendment and has termed it as unlawful profiteering by the government.
