KARACHI: Generation’s School hosted its 17th Gen Fajr Annual Athletic Sports Day for its junior section in the South Campus.

Over 860 young athletes – from the ages of eight till twelve -showcased their talents in the event that was attended by over 1,600 spectators, making it the biggest event of the school’s academic calendar.

From lighting the ‘Torch of Knowledge’, the smart and brisk walk past by classes III and IV, the beautifully synchronised PE display by classes V and VI, to the actual track and field events; no stone was left unturned in ensuring smooth and well-timed activities and tirelessly-rehearsed sporting events.

The principal distributed presents among the winners and gave away trophy to the winning House. In his speech, Habiab University Foundation CEO Perviez Gayas encouraged and appreciated the students for demonstrating excellent skills and taking full advantage of the opportunities provided to them.

He said that such physical activities were necessary for all to remain healthy and strong. He acknowledged that students were well-disciplined and the teaching staff set high standards of good conduct for them to replicate.
